Port Polska begins paying compensation for airport land
Port Polska has begun paying advances for land parcels subject to expropriation for a new airport and transport hub. As of early October, the company has issued payments for 547 parcels.
Valuations have been completed for all 923 parcels involved in the expropriation process, with compensation decisions issued for 898 of them. Under a separate Voluntary Purchase Program, offers for the largest farms reached amounts exceeding 20 million PLN. These voluntary transactions successfully secured 65 percent of the land located on the western side of the airport and transport hub.
Property owners receiving advances can access 85 percent of their determined compensation before the final conclusion of the proceedings. The company stated that transfers typically reach accounts within seven days of a complete application being submitted. However, 106 parcels currently have unregulated legal status, which prevents owners from applying for these advances.
