Portalegre, Portugal imposes traffic restrictions for GNR guard ceremony

On Friday, 26 June, the Municipal Stadium of Portalegre will host the oath‑of‑flag ceremony for the Guard Training Course of the GNR. To ensure security and smooth operation, vehicular access to the sports complex will be closed to private cars from 18:00 on 25 June until 14:00 on 26 June.

During the ceremony, road traffic will be limited on Avenida do Brasil, Avenida Movimentos das Forças Armadas, Avenida Frei Amador Arrais, Rua D. João III and Avenida George Robinson between 08:30–09:30 and 11:15–12:00 on 26 June, with additional temporary closures on 25 June for rehearsal drills. Limited parking is available at nearby sites, and police will be stationed at key points to manage flow. Access to Hospital Doutor José Maria Grande, schools, the public health unit and the Social Security centre will remain open throughout.
