Portimão honors 68 SMEs with economic performance awards

The Municipality of Portimão is honoring local businesses for their economic performance through the ‘Portimão Reconhece’ initiative. During a ceremony scheduled for September 21, the municipality will recognize companies that have achieved the PME Líder and PME Excelência 2024 statuses.

In 2024, 68 small and medium-sized enterprises in the Portimão region earned the PME Líder distinction, spanning sectors such as tourism, industry, commerce, services, construction, transport, and health. Of these, 33 companies also achieved the PME Excelência status, a distinction reserved for organizations demonstrating exceptional economic and financial performance. The awards are granted by IAPMEI and Turismo de Portugal in partnership with banking entities.
