Porto Alegre: Car becomes submerged in Lago Guaíba

A vehicle became submerged in Lago Guaíba near the Ipanema waterfront in the southern zone of Porto Alegre on Saturday night.

Video footage shows a Fiat Uno almost entirely underwater, with only a small portion of the structure visible above the water level near the shore. The Brigada Militar responded to the scene to isolate the area and manage onlookers until a tow truck arrived to remove the vehicle.

Authorities have not yet released information regarding the circumstances that caused the driver to lose control or how the vehicle entered the water. There have been no confirmed reports of injuries.
