Porto Book Fair begins Friday with international participants

The 13th edition of the Porto Book Fair is set to begin this Friday and will run until September 6. The event will be held at the Palácio de Cristal Gardens and will also extend to the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library.

For the first time, the fair will feature writers, poets, playwrights, and musicians from the Middle East, Latin America, and various parts of Europe. The program includes a ‘Cycle of Conversations’ at the library to discuss contemporary structural and civilizational challenges, focusing on themes of memory, body, freedom, and resistance. The event will also include a tribute to the poet Inês Lourenço.
