Porto San Giorgio Paralympic Sailing Open Day Welcomes Disabled Athletes

On Thursday 19 June 2026, the Porto San Giorgio marina hosted an Open Day dedicated to paralympic sailing. The event was organised by the Italian Paralympic Committee – Marche region in partnership with INAIL’s regional office and the ASD Liberi nel Vento sailing club. It was open to all INAIL beneficiaries regardless of disability type.

Participants received instruction from qualified federal coaches and trialed the accessible sailing boats of the 2.4 mR and Hansa 303 classes. The programme included a presentation of the adapted nautical base, a midday break, and further on‑water sessions before concluding in the late afternoon. The initiative aims to introduce disabled individuals to sailing and potentially develop future competitors for national regattas.
