Porto security guards identified after assault on man

Five private security guards from different establishments were identified by the Public Security Police (PSP) following an assault on a man in the nightlife district of Porto. Video footage captured the incident, showing the victim being punched and kicked while on the ground.

The confrontation reportedly began after a dispute regarding a ten-euro entry fee at a local bar. After the man left the premises to speak with a friend, he was allegedly pursued and assaulted by security personnel from multiple venues.

Some of the identified guards had previously been involved in a large-scale police operation in the Cândido dos Reis area that led to the closure of several nightlife establishments. The case is expected to be referred to the Public Ministry to determine criminal responsibilities.
