PortoMaran Marina Earns First Blue Flag for Sustainable Management

PortoMaran, the marina in Marano Laguna, Italy, raised the Blue Flag of the Foundation for Environmental Education for the first time. The award, presented during a ceremony in the Dossat area, recognises the port’s high standards in water quality, safety and sustainable services.

The accolade coincides with the cooperative’s 25 years of management and highlights its efforts to improve navigation through dredging, support slow tourism and integrate intermodal transport. With about 500 berths for boats up to 18 metres, the marina serves as a key hub for recreational sailing and a model of environmentally‑focused maritime infrastructure.
