Portugal 2030 program reaches 20.8% fund execution
The Portugal 2030 program reached an execution rate of 20.8% by the end of July, totaling 4.7 billion euros in executed funds. According to the latest monthly bulletin, total approvals have exceeded 13.6 billion euros, representing 59.2% of the programmed allocation. Payments to beneficiaries, including advances, have surpassed 5.1 billion euros, which accounts for 37.6% of the approved funds.
Among the specific programs, Pessoas 2030 shows the highest execution at 41.1%, followed by Assistência Técnica at 31.3% and Mar 2030 at 27%. Other regional programs include Lisboa 2030 (20.6%), Sustentável 2030 (19.6%), Açores 2030 (18.2%), Centro 2030 (15%), Madeira 2030 (14.8%), Norte 2030 (12.8%), Algarve 2030 (12.6%), Alentejo 2030 (11.7%), and Compete 2030 (7.4%).
Of the total 22.995 billion euro allocation, 83% has been put out to tender. These tenders consist of 51% from the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) and 30% from the European Social Fund+ (ESF+). Programs such as Mar 2030, Sustentável 2030, Lisboa 2030, and Norte 2030 have placed over 90% of their programmed values out to tender. To date, the program has launched 1,467 notices, with 210 currently open.
