Portugal advances AI integration in trade and digital policy

Portugal is advancing its digital and economic integration of artificial intelligence through new training initiatives and high-level discussions.

The Portuguese Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade (AICEP) has launched the ‘Exportar com Inteligência Artificial’ program. This 18-hour online training course is designed for entrepreneurs and managers to help them use AI tools to improve internationalization processes, market selection, and customer acquisition. The program aims to make exporting more efficient and competitive without requiring prior technical AI knowledge.

In a separate development, Devoteam is hosting the second edition of the Fusion conference at the Champalimaud Foundation. The event brings together government officials, academics, and tech experts to discuss the impact of AI on society, digital sovereignty, and the workforce. Key topics include the modernization of public administration, the evolution of human-AI relationships in the workplace, and how applied science and entrepreneurship are driving economic value.
