The Loures Municipality is launching a prevention campaign by distributing 20,000 Celentis bracelets designed to detect GHB, a substance often used in drink spiking. The initiative, a partnership between the municipality, the Public Security Police (PSP), and Desert Rain, involves a total investment of 22,000 euros. The first 5,000 bracelets will be distributed during a concert by Carl Cox at Parque Papa Francisco. The bracelets work by changing color when a drop of a beverage is placed on a reactive area, alerting users to the presence of the drug.

In separate law enforcement actions across Portugal, the National Republican Guard (GNR) and PSP have conducted several operations targeting drug trafficking and weapons possession. In Sesimbra and Cartaxo, the GNR arrested five men and seized over 14,000 doses of narcotics, including cocaine and heroin, along with various firearms. In the Arrábida region, authorities intercepted approximately 400 kilograms of cocaine being landed on a beach, resulting in the arrest of one individual while others escaped. Additionally, the PSP arrested two men in Lisbon for managing a drug trafficking business involving high-caliber weapons and significant amounts of cash.
