Portugal increases PRR Mobilizing Agendas investment to 7.3 billion euros

Portugal’s Ministry of Economy and Territorial Cohesion has announced a reprogramming of the Mobilizing Agendas within the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). This adjustment increases the total investment to 7.3 billion euros and is expected to create 11,000 qualified jobs.

The reprogramming has expanded the funding for Mobilizing and Green Agendas from an initial 930 million euros to approximately 3 billion euros, supporting 51 different agendas. This shift has allowed for the incorporation of 311 new products, processes, and services (PPS), aiming to boost technological, industrial, and commercial outcomes.

Key projects highlighted include the expansion of the Atlantic Constellation to 11 satellites by New Space Portugal, the development of a dual-use light aircraft by Aero.Next Portugal, and advancements in healthcare through Health from Portugal, which focuses on innovative therapies and AI-applied medical imaging. Other initiatives include Route 25’s work on autonomous mobility and R2UTechnologies’ development of modular systems.
