Portugal Ministry of Education postpones exam re-evaluation results

The Portuguese Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation has announced a delay in the release of re-evaluation results for national exams. The new schedule, published in the Diário da República, moves the release dates to September to ensure teachers and staff can take their scheduled vacations.

Specifically, the results for 9th-grade exam re-evaluations will now be released on September 9, while secondary school national exam re-evaluations will be published on September 14. This is a shift from the original August 28 deadline. The Ministry noted that the delay stems from increased workloads caused by technical issues during the digital evaluation process of the first phase of exams.

Minister of Education Fernando Alexandre stated that the delay will not impact access to higher education, as the second phase of university applications remains open until September 20. Additionally, results for the extraordinary exam period are scheduled for release on September 25 for secondary students and September 16 for 9th-grade students.
