Portugal has reached the conclusion of its Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), with the government stating that 100% of the plan's milestones and goals have been met. The five-year program underwent seven revisions, which shifted focus toward supporting companies and reduced investment in large-scale infrastructure for health, housing, and sustainable mobility.

In the cultural sector, the Património Cultural institute reports that it is on track to meet European targets for completing major works by August 31. The institute has contracted 243,220,517.94 euros for cultural heritage, including over 195 million euros for the conservation of museums, monuments, and palaces, and approximately 46 million euros for national theaters. João Soalheiro, president of the institute, emphasized that the goal is to demonstrate the completion of main works across 84 cultural sites.

Additionally, Portugal has submitted its National Nature Restoration Plan to the European Commission ahead of the August 31 deadline. The plan includes 386 measures aimed at recovering ecosystems across land, sea, and urban areas. Meanwhile, the ANMP has called for alternative financing to ensure that municipal projects initiated under the PRR can be completed if they fall outside the current eligibility period.
