Portugal police arrest drug traffickers and armed driver in separate operations

Six people were placed in preventive detention after Lisbon police intercepted a drug‑selling group on June 25, seizing 285 doses of cocaine, 615 doses of heroin and €998. The suspects, aged 22 to 55, were caught selling directly to consumers in the Quinta do Loureiro neighbourhood.

In a separate incident in Portimão on June 28, a man was arrested for possessing a loaded 6.35 mm Browning pistol, additional ammunition, a baton and for driving under the influence, with a blood‑alcohol level of 1.47 g/L. Both arrests were carried out by the Portuguese Public Security Police (PSP).
