Portugal submits final 4.67 billion euro PRR payment request
Portugal has submitted its tenth and final payment request for the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) to the European Commission. The request, totaling 4,672 million euros (net of advances), aims to complete the country's total allocation of 21,905 million euros from the EU post-pandemic fund.
The final request covers milestones and targets related to 92 investments and four reforms across sectors including health, housing, infrastructure, energy, and digitalization. The Ministry of Economy and Territorial Cohesion stated that with this submission, Portugal has fulfilled 100% of the 379 milestones and targets established under the plan.
In the cultural sector, the PRR has mobilized 330.4 million euros, resulting in the modernization of over 500 cultural infrastructures, including museums, libraries, and theaters, as well as the large-scale digitalization of national archives and film collections.
