Portugal utility maintenance causes electricity and water outages

Various utility maintenance works are scheduled across Portugal, leading to planned interruptions in electricity and water supplies between September 7 and September 13.

E-Redes has scheduled electricity maintenance to improve distribution infrastructure. These outages will affect several municipalities, including Sintra, Almada, Odemira, Loures, Serpa, Beja, and Vila Franca de Xira. Some interruptions are brief, lasting 60 minutes, while others may last up to 6 hours.

Simultaneously, local authorities and service companies are conducting water network repairs, reservoir cleaning, and pipe replacements. These water supply interruptions, scheduled from September 7 to September 11, include areas such as Vilamoura, Moura, Cascais, and Ílhavo, with some service gaps lasting up to nine hours.
