Portugal utility services face scheduled water and power outages

Various regions in Portugal are facing scheduled utility interruptions for water and electricity due to planned maintenance and network interventions.

Water supply disruptions are expected between September 14 and 20 in several municipalities, including Guimarães, Murtosa, Loulé, Sintra, Barreiro, Coimbra, Cascais, and Silves. In Guimarães, Vimágua has announced interruptions affecting specific streets from September 14 to 17. In Murtosa, service interruptions are planned for the Torreira area, with conflicting reports regarding the exact timing between municipal notices and AdRA.

Simultaneously, E-REDES has scheduled electricity outages affecting several municipalities, including Almada, Sintra, Vila Franca de Xira, Loures, Odemira, Beja, and Serpa. In Almada, specifically within the Caparica and Trafaria unions, a six-hour outage is planned for Sunday, September 13, between 05:00 and 11:00. E-REDES advises residents to treat electrical installations as live at all times, as service may be restored earlier than scheduled.
