Portugal's ANSR launches 'Bar Taxa Zero' road‑safety hub at NOS Alive festival
Portugal's National Road Safety Authority (ANSR) will set up a road‑safety stand at the NOS Alive music festival in Oeiras from 9 to 11 July 2026. The new "Bar Taxa Zero" will serve non‑alcoholic cocktails while festival‑goers can try car and motorcycle driving simulators, digital breath‑alcohol tests and interactive exhibits on the dangers of substances and speeding.
The initiative targets the festival’s largely young audience to promote responsible drinking and driving. ANSR reached about 16,000 attendees at the 2025 edition. ANSR president Pedro Clemente said, "The best memory of a festival is always being able to get home safely," emphasizing the message that driving responsibly should be part of the festival experience.
