Portugal’s coastal festivals spotlight seafood traditions

From 7 to 10 August, the municipality of Águeda will host the free‑entry “Do Mar à Terra – Festival da Sardinha,” featuring grilled sardines, traditional Portuguese dishes and live music, aiming to draw visitors and stimulate local commerce.

From 10 to 15 August, the Real Marina Hotel & Spa in Olhão will take part in the Festival do Marisco, offering a rotating daily menu of seafood dishes inspired by the Ria Formosa, with a capacity of about 180 guests and prices ranging from €19 to €40. Both events showcase regional culinary heritage and seek to promote tourism in their respective towns.
