Portugal's IP3 Road Works Between Tondela and Viseu to Close Nightly in August

The IP3 main road segment between Tondela and Viseu will be closed each night from 21:00 to 05:00 on 10, 11, 12 and 13 August as part of a duplication and upgrade project announced by Infraestruturas de Portugal. Traffic will be diverted to the parallel EN2 in both directions during the works.

The €103 million investment will widen the existing carriageway to a 2×2 lane profile over a 27.5‑km stretch from Santa Comba Dão to Viseu, install temporary and permanent signage, road markings and concrete barriers, and improve pavement, safety equipment and local road connections. The aim is to raise road quality, comfort and safety while reducing travel times on this regional corridor.
