Portugal's Recovery and Resilience Plan pays out 146 million euros

Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) distributed an additional 146 million euros to beneficiaries last week, including the approval of 1,984 new applications. According to the latest monitoring report, total payments under the plan have reached 14.867 billion euros, representing 68% of the total contracted and approved amount.

Major recipients of these funds include companies, which received 5.397 billion euros, followed by public entities at 2.911 billion euros and local municipalities/metropolitan areas at 2.424 billion euros. Other significant beneficiaries include schools, higher education institutions, and social economy organizations.

In terms of project approvals, the total has risen to 25.146 billion euros. Companies lead project approvals with 9.013 billion euros, followed by public entities and local municipalities. To date, the PRR has received 544,988 applications, with 408,668 applications approved.
