Portugal's Torres Novas and Faro host summer community festivals

The town of Torres Novas will hold the Festas do Almonda in the Jardim das Rosas from July 8‑12, 2026. The five‑day program features live music on several stages, children’s inflatable activities, a volleyball tournament, a walking tour and performances by artists such as Rui Veloso, Janita Salomé and Rodrigo Leão.

In Faro, the Jardim da Alameda will host the "Alameda Viva" edition titled "Jardim do Bem Viver" on July 4. The free afternoon includes a puppet show, yoga sessions for families, workshops on healthy snacks, composting and mini‑gardens, as well as a harp concert by Helena Madeira.

Both events are organized by local municipal authorities and aim to promote community engagement, cultural participation and healthy lifestyles.
