Portuguese Football Federation approves record €161 million budget for 2026/27

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) held a general assembly in Oeira’s Cidade do Futebol and approved its 2026/27 activity plan and budget. The document forecasts record revenues of more than €161 million and a positive balance of €2.8 million, which president Pedro Proença described as “robust but prudent.”

The assembly also ratified disciplinary and arbitration regulations for the Portuguese Professional Football League, awarded honorary membership to former president Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and announced that the FPF achieved ISO certification for quality, information security, environmental management and, for the first time, anti‑corruption standards. Proença said the federation is now a “large corporate ecosystem” and expressed high expectations for Portugal ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
