Portuguese wineries Quinta dos Frades and Rocim unveil new wine ranges

Quinta dos Frades, one of the historic estates in the Douro Valley, has completed a brand overhaul that began in 2023. The refurbishment includes a new logo, updated label designs and a restructured portfolio that drops the former Vinha dos Deuses and Vinha dos Santos names. Six new wines were launched, among them Frades Colheita Branco 2024, Frades Colheita Tinto 2023, Frades Reserva Branco 2024, Quinta dos Frades Reserva Tinto 2021 and Quinta dos Frades Vinhas Centenárias Grande Reserva 2017, all intended to showcase the estate’s terroir and the new visual identity.

In the Alentejo region, Herdade do Rocim introduced two Talha‑aged wines – Vinho de Talha Branco 2025 and Vinho de Talha Tinto 2025. Both are made from indigenous old‑vine varieties and undergo fermentation and ageing exclusively in traditional clay amphorae, with no added yeasts or corrections. The white displays mineral precision, while the red emphasizes structure and a saline finish. The releases aim to preserve the centuries‑old clay‑fermentation method and reinforce Rocim’s commitment to authentic regional winemaking.
