Post office in Castrolibero reopens with expanded public services

The Andreotta post office in Castrolibero has reopened following renovation work completed under Poste Italiane’s ‘Polis’ initiative. Located on Via Giovanni Maendola, the facility has been modernized to serve as a hub for both traditional postal services and various public administration functions.

As part of the Polis project, which targets municipalities with fewer than 15,000 inhabitants, the office now offers expanded services. Residents can access INPS services, such as pension slips and the ‘OBIS M’ model, as well as request civil registry certificates. Additionally, through an agreement between Poste Italiane, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, citizens can submit documentation for passport applications or renewals directly at the counter, with an option for home delivery.

The renovated space includes new furniture, energy-efficient lighting, a dedicated lane for the visually impaired, and a lowered counter to improve accessibility. The office operates Monday through Friday from 8:20 to 13:35 and on Saturdays until 12:35.
