Poste Italiane advances digitalization and sustainability projects

Poste Italiane is advancing its modernization and digitalization efforts across Italy through initiatives like Progetto Polis and the Smart Building project. In the province of Salerno, the Rofrano post office has officially reopened following renovations designed to improve sustainability and inclusivity. The new facility features energy-efficient lighting, tactile paths for the visually impaired, and lowered counters for accessibility. It now serves as a public administration hub where citizens can access civil registry certificates, INPS services, and passport services.

Simultaneously, modernization work has begun in Santa Maria di Castellabate. In Sagama, the company has implemented a Smart Building system. This integrated management system uses sensors and automated devices to monitor environmental parameters, such as temperature and lighting, to optimize energy consumption and reduce waste. This follows previous efficiency measures, such as the replacement of fluorescent lamps with LED technology.
