Poste Italiane begins September pension payments across Italy

Poste Italiane has announced that September pension payments will begin on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, across various Italian provinces, including Rome, Naples, Palermo, Salerno, L'Aquila, Trapani, and Syracuse. Payments are available at post offices and via ATM Postamat for those with direct credit to savings books, BancoPosta accounts, or Postepay Evolution cards.

To ensure security, Poste Italiane offers a free insurance policy for debit card holders that covers up to 700 euros per year in case of cash theft within two hours of a withdrawal. Pensioners are advised to visit offices during late morning or afternoon and avoid the very beginning of the month to minimize wait times.

Regarding fiscal matters, the September payment cycle includes tax adjustments from the 2026 730 model. Additionally, pensioners must submit 2022 income data to INPS by September 15 to avoid a 5% deduction on their pension amount for non-compliance.
