Poste Italiane service operations and pension distribution

Poste Italiane has outlined its operational plans for the Naples and Salerno regions during the late summer period. In mid-August, the company implemented a service continuity plan for Naples and its surrounding province to accommodate residents and tourists, utilizing double-shift systems at major branches and maintaining full operations in tourist-heavy areas like Ischia and the Sorrento Coast.

By late August, the focus shifted to the distribution of September pension payments. Starting September 1, 2026, payments will be processed through hundreds of post offices and Postamat ATMs across several Italian provinces, including Naples, Salerno, Rome, Palermo, L'Aquila, Trapani, and Syracuse. Payments are accessible via direct credit to savings books, BancoPosta accounts, or Postepay Evolution cards.

To enhance security, the company is offering a free insurance policy for debit card holders that covers up to 700 euros per year in the event of cash theft within two hours of a withdrawal. Regarding fiscal requirements, the September cycle includes tax adjustments from the 2026 730 model. Furthermore, pensioners are reminded to submit 2022 income data to INPS by September 15 to avoid a 5% deduction on their pension amount for non-compliance. To minimize wait times, retirees are advised to visit offices during the late morning or afternoon rather than at the very beginning of the month.
