Poste Italiane expands electric vehicle charging network in Abruzzo

Poste Italiane is expanding the electric vehicle charging network in the Abruzzo region through the Polis project. Currently, there are 87 active stations providing a total of 174 charging points, accessible 24 hours a day across 55 municipalities with populations under 15,000. These stations are distributed from the coast to inland areas, including national parks such as Gran Sasso, Sirente-Velino, and Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise.

An additional 140 charging stations have been positioned in 80 municipalities and will become operational once connected to the electrical grid. This expansion aims to support sustainable mobility for both residents and tourists by providing coverage along major travel itineraries. The installation program is conducted through agreements with municipalities, which can participate at no cost to local administrations.
