Poste Italiane expands Postamat services with cash‑in feature as Brenta ATM remains non‑functional

Poste Italiane has upgraded its Postamat ATMs with a new cash‑in function, allowing account holders to deposit cash directly at the machine. The first installation was completed in Villabate, where users can insert banknotes after entering their PIN, receive a detailed receipt and benefit from anti‑skimming and video‑surveillance security measures. The upgraded ATMs continue to offer standard services such as bill payments, balance inquiries and mobile top‑ups.

In the municipality of Brenta, mayor Gianpietro Ballardin reports that the Postamat installed in January 2026 has been out of service for eight months. Despite repeated requests to Poste Italiane, the machine still cannot dispense cash, adding to broader postal delivery delays and electronic card distribution problems in the town.
