Poste Italiane expands services and hires staff in Italy
The post office in Fiorano al Serio, Italy, has completed a renovation under the Polis programme and reopened with upgraded facilities, including low‑vision counters, energy‑efficient lighting, a lowered service window, and the ability to issue passports on‑site through an agreement with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
Poste Italiane has also reached a new agreement with Italian trade unions to reorganise its private‑market office network. The plan for 2027‑2028 calls for 6,300 active employment policies and the addition of 1,300 staff members, aiming to make the network more flexible and efficient while preserving its nationwide presence.
