Poste Italiane reopens renovated offices in Filadelfia, Vazzano and Ferno under Polis plan

Poste Italiane has completed the renovation of several small‑town post offices in Italy under its Polis programme, aimed at strengthening services in municipalities with fewer than 15,000 residents. The offices in Filadelfia and Vazzano in the Vibo Valentia area reopened on 13 July 2026 after upgrades that include new furnishings, low‑impact environmental solutions, improved lighting and accessibility features such as lowered counters for visually impaired users. They now provide standard postal products as well as public‑administration services, including INPS certificates, pension slips, the “certificazione unica” and passport renewal through a partnership with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.

The post office in Ferno (Varese province) also resumed operations on 11 July 2026 following a year‑long renovation that had attracted criticism from the mayor over delays and communication lapses. The refurbished Ferno site offers the same expanded range of services and accessibility improvements. The reopenings mark the rollout of the Polis initiative in the Vibonese and Lombardy regions, restoring full service to local residents after prolonged closures.

These reopenings aim to improve public‑service accessibility in small Italian communities while showcasing Poste Italiane’s investment in modern, sustainable infrastructure.
