Poste Italiane completes Polis renovations in multiple Italian towns
Poste Italiane has finished the "Polis" renovation project at several post offices in Italy, including Trescore Cremasco, Serramonacesca, San Buono, and Vedano al Lambro. The upgraded branches feature new furniture, colour schemes, low‑energy lighting, wheelchair‑accessible counters and dedicated service windows.
The modernised offices now allow citizens to obtain public‑administration services on‑site, such as INPS certificates, civil‑status documents, and electronic passports that can be delivered to the applicant’s home. Temporary service points were set up in nearby towns (e.g., Manoppello) to maintain mail and banking operations while works were underway. Opening hours remain unchanged, with weekday service from 08:20 to 13:45 and Saturday service until noon.
The Polis initiative targets municipalities with fewer than 15,000 residents, aiming to strengthen economic and social cohesion across Italy’s small communities by improving postal infrastructure and expanding public‑service offerings.
