Povodí Moravy manages 3 billion CZK in flood repair projects
Povodí Moravy is managing large-scale repair and design projects following extreme flooding. Following the damage mapped in September 2024, the organization has prepared 108 actions to address flood damage with estimated costs totaling nearly 3 billion CZK.
Two years after the initial flooding, repairs have been initiated or completed in 64 locations, totaling 800 million CZK. Significant design work is currently underway for complex repairs in the Šumpersko and Hanušov regions. In the Horní Morava area, flood damage repairs are divided into 70 construction projects with an estimated cost of 2 billion CZK.
Ongoing projects include repairs to sections of the Desná and Merta rivers, as well as work on three lakes at Rožnovská Bečva. Current design documentation is being processed for several locations, including Hanušovice, Raškov, Bohdíkov, Ruda nad Moravou, and Loučná nad Desnou.
