Power authorities in Kashmir and Mokokchung announce scheduled shutdowns

The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across various areas of Kashmir from October 24 to November 15, 2026. The outages are intended to facilitate maintenance work on transmission and distribution lines. Affected areas include Achabal, Pahalgam, Mattan, and several locations in the Pampore and Chadoora regions. Shutdowns are expected to occur between 9 am and 3 pm on notified dates.

In Mokokchung, the Transmission Division has scheduled total power shutdowns from October 26 to November 28, 2026, to allow for essential vegetation clearance along major 132kV and 66kV transmission lines. The daily shutdowns will run from 8 am to 4 pm. Affected regions include Zunheboto District, Changtongya, Tuli, Longleng, Mon, Longnak, Mangkolemba, and Tuensang.
