Power franchise launches on Netflix internationally under Starz licensing deal
Lionsgate Television has struck a multiyear licensing agreement with Netflix to stream the four core series of the Power franchise—Power, Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Power Book IV: Force—outside the United States and Canada. The non‑exclusive deal will begin in November, with rollout timing varying by market based on existing local agreements.
Starz will retain the primary home for the Power universe in the United States, but the original Power series will also become available on Netflix domestically starting in November, while all seasons continue to air on the Starz app and its on‑demand platforms. The upcoming spin‑offs Power: Origins and Power: Legacy are not part of the Netflix agreement.
The franchise, created by Courtney A. Kemp and executive‑produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, spans six series and more than 200 episodes released over the past decade. The deal expands the franchise’s global reach without affecting its U.S. streaming arrangement with Starz.
