LUMA Energy announced scheduled maintenance and system upgrades that will cause temporary electricity interruptions on Monday, June 8, 2026, across 11 municipalities in Puerto Rico, including Aguadilla, Cabo Rojo, Caguas, Guánica, Guayama, Las Marías, Río Grande, San Juan, San Sebastián and Yauco. The work will be carried out in specific neighborhoods and streets from early morning until late afternoon, with some locations seeing a full‑day outage.

Enel Colombia also scheduled power cuts on the same day for parts of Bogotá and the neighboring municipalities of Funza and Chía in Cundinamarca. Specific barrios and streets are listed with outage windows ranging from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The utility advised customers to disconnect appliances, keep refrigerator doors closed, and verify the identity of staff entering premises.

Both utilities urged residents to plan activities around the interruptions and to follow safety recommendations.
