Powerball and Lotto Max jackpots roll over to multimillion-dollar prizes

Major lottery jackpots in the United States and Canada have rolled over following recent drawings.

The Powerball jackpot has risen to an estimated $232 million, with a cash option valued at $98.6 million, after no player matched all six numbers in the Wednesday drawing. The next drawing is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12.

In Canada, the Lotto Max $30 million jackpot was not won during the September 11 draw. While no one claimed the top prize, four MaxPlus prizes worth $100,000 each were awarded across Ontario, Quebec, the Prairies, and the Atlantic region. The jackpot for the next Lotto Max draw on September 15 is expected to increase to $40 million.
