Powys food and drink firms see surge in Christmas orders

Wholesaler Harlech Foodservice has reported a 1,100 per cent year-on-year increase in Christmas pre-orders, signaling a significant seasonal surge for the business.

Local Powys-based producers, including Henstone Distillery and Radnor Hills, participated in the company’s Christmas Roadshow to showcase products to sales teams. Henstone Distillery, which specializes in single malt whisky and various spirits, noted that November can account for approximately 25 per cent of its annual trade. Radnor Hills also promoted its premium Heartsease Farm press range during the event.
