Poznań begins free endometriosis screening program for women
The City of Poznań has launched the "Endometrioza – zauważamy – wspieramy" programme, offering free diagnostic consultations and related support to women aged 18‑49 who suspect they have endometriosis. The second enrolment opens on 22 June 2026 at 10:00, with applications submitted via an online form on the Franciszek Raszei Municipal Hospital website.
During the first round, 204 women accessed the service; 49 received an endometriosis diagnosis, 102 were cleared of the condition, and 53 remain under observation. Participants receive specialist gynecological examinations, laboratory tests, and may be referred to additional consultations. The programme also includes workshops with physiotherapists, dietitians and psychologists, and runs an education campaign to raise awareness of the disease, which affects roughly 10 % of women of reproductive age – an estimated 13 000 residents of Poznań.
The municipal budget has allocated more than 1.4 million zł for the initiative covering 2026–2027, aiming to accelerate early diagnosis and improve treatment outcomes for thousands of Poznań residents.
