Poznań faces vehicle registration delays

Vehicle owners in Poznań are facing significant delays when attempting to re-register purchased cars. Current wait times at the city's communication departments range from 16 days at the Gronowa Street office to 26 days at the 28 Czerwca 1956 r. location.

To manage the backlog, officials have implemented Saturday service hours, though queues remain long. Marek Kubiak, deputy director of the Department of Civic Affairs and Communication Qualifications, attributed the congestion to a high volume of registrations from professional car traders and leasing companies based in the city.

Drivers are cautioned that they have a 30-day legal window to complete registration; exceeding this limit results in a 500 PLN fine. To avoid penalties when appointments are unavailable, citizens can submit an application at the department's registry or secretariat to meet the statutory deadline.
