Poznań launches free support program for parents and caregivers
The Przy Tobie Foundation, in collaboration with the City of Poznań, has launched a free support program for parents and caregivers. Held at the Family Initiatives Center, the program addresses developmental challenges for children ranging from infants to adolescents aged 15–18.
The initiative focuses on several key areas, including mental health, recognizing signs of depression and anxiety in youth, and building psychological resilience. Specific workshops are designed to help parents manage difficult emotions and behaviors, as well as establish healthy boundaries without resorting to violence.
A significant portion of the program is dedicated to the digital world, offering guidance on 'cyber-parenting' to help families navigate internet safety and the challenges of a child's online presence. Additionally, the program includes online sessions specifically for parents of children aged 9–16, focusing on the neurobiological and psychological changes associated with puberty and the transition from parental control to influence.
