Poznań man arrested for hate crime and vandalism at Ukrainian market
A 50-year-old man from Poznań has been detained following a hate crime and act of vandalism at the Odessa Market shop. On August 30, the suspect allegedly insulted female employees of Ukrainian nationality with obscene language and told them to return to Ukraine.
According to the Poznań Municipal Police, the man also defaced the shop's storefront with spray paint and stole two bottles of wine. The suspect, who was intoxicated at the time, fled the scene when police arrived but was apprehended early Monday morning. He is currently in police custody awaiting court proceedings.
