Poznań: Man assaulted at Cytadela after intervening in harassment
A physical altercation occurred on Saturday evening at the Cytadela in Poznań after a man intervened to stop another individual from harassing a woman and child. According to witnesses, the aggressor was using vulgar language and shouting anti-Ukrainian slogans at a woman believed to be of Ukrainian origin.
The intervention led to a scuffle during which the witness, identified as Robert, was kicked in the knee and required treatment at an emergency department. Police responded to the incident, which was reported after 9:00 PM.
Officers detained the second participant, who was found to have a blood alcohol level of nearly two per mille and reportedly refused to follow police commands. He was subsequently taken to a detoxification center. While the police confirmed the intervention, they noted that certain circumstances remain under investigation, and the woman involved left the scene before officers arrived, leaving her nationality unconfirmed by official reports.
