PP spokesperson declines to comment on Mazón's DANA legal filing

Nando Pastor, the spokesperson for the People's Party (PP) in the Valencian Parliament, has declined to comment on a legal filing submitted by former Generalitat president Carlos Mazón regarding the management of the DANA weather emergency.

Mazón's document, which is part of an ongoing judicial investigation, argues against a causal link between delays in sending the ES-Alert emergency messages and the resulting death toll. While opposition groups have labeled the filing ‘indignant’ and a ‘shame,’ Pastor stated that the PP maintains a policy of not commenting on party-submitted documents or active judicial proceedings.

Pastor emphasized that the party adheres to a general principle of remaining silent on court-related matters to avoid interfering with the legal process.
