PPC Energy launches solar battery upgrade packages for Romanian households
Integrated Romanian energy supplier PPC Energy has expanded its offering with photovoltaic battery solutions under the PPC Solar Upgrade program. The batteries store surplus solar power generated between 12:00 and 15:00 and release it in the evening, allowing self‑consumption rates to rise from about 30 % to 60‑70 % and reducing the amount of electricity drawn from the grid, which directly lowers household bills.
The service provides batteries compatible with Huawei and Deye inverters in three capacities – 5 kWh, 10 kWh and 15 kWh – priced from 299 lei to 559 lei per month. Payments can be spread over up to 36 equal installments charged on the electricity bill, with no commission, and installation, commissioning and documentation support are included. For non‑hybrid photovoltaic systems, the PPC Solar Upgrade replaces the standard inverter with a Deye hybrid model and adds one to three batteries, offering six configurations ranging from a 6 kW single‑phase system with one battery (599 lei/month) to a 15 kW three‑phase system with three batteries (1 429 lei/month). Over 300,000 Romanian households already generate their own electricity, many using photovoltaic panels, and the new packages aim to increase their energy independence further.
