PPPK workers cancel planned September 7 demonstration

A planned large-scale demonstration by approximately 20,000 to 35,000 Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) and part-time PPPK workers, originally scheduled for September 7, 2026, in Jakarta, has been canceled. The cancellation follows a meeting between leaders of 10 PPPK forums and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco, where the groups' four primary demands were addressed directly.

In a related development, the Tangerang City Government has implemented an increase in the Additional Employee Income (TPP) for full-time technical PPPK staff. The increase ranges from Rp400,000 to Rp1.3 million per month. Local officials have urged employees to use this increase as a momentum to improve public service efficiency and performance.
