Prabath Jayasuriya reacts angrily to LBW dismissal in India-Sri Lanka Test

Tensions flared during the second day of the second Test match between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo. The Sri Lankan team expressed significant frustration with the umpires regarding poor lighting conditions, arguing that play should have been suspended. Despite these protests, officials allowed play to continue, during which Sri Lanka lost two wickets for just 8 runs in 3 overs.

Nightwatchman Prabath Jayasuriya became the center of the controversy after being ruled out LBW by Manav Suthar. Jayasuriya challenged the decision via DRS, but the review upheld the original ruling. Following the dismissal, Jayasuriya displayed visible anger, striking a boundary cushion with his bat while walking off the field and throwing his gloves upon reaching the dressing room.

Earlier in the match, India declared their first innings at 503 for 9, bolstered by an unbeaten 115 from Dhruv Jurel. Sri Lanka will begin the third day trailing by 495 runs.
