Prabhas film Fauzi teaser released with March 2027 date

To mark actor Prabhas’ 47th birthday, the makers of the upcoming period action-drama ‘Fauzi’ have released a teaser titled “File No. 25”. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is set during the 1940s pre-independence era and follows a fearless rebel soldier and spy fighting against British rule.

The teaser features a fictionalized historical encounter in Berlin between Indian revolutionary leader Subhash Chandra Bose and Adolf Hitler. During this exchange, Bose describes the protagonist—a mysterious strategist and spy known as “Fauzi”—whose intelligence and unbreakable military code, rooted in the Bhagavad Gita, pose a significant threat to British intelligence.

While the teaser has generated significant excitement among fans, it has also faced criticism from some viewers regarding the use of real historical figures to promote a fictional character. The film features an ensemble cast including Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Jaya Prada, and Imanvi Esmail. Although some reports initially suggested a 2026 release, the official theatrical release is scheduled for March 19, 2027.
